At the heart of Piano Tuner Academy are Robert and Helen, a dynamic duo whose passion, expertise, and mentorship have helped aspiring piano tuners from around the world turn their dreams into thriving, independent careers.

With more than 38 years of hands-on experience, Robert isn’t just a concert piano tuner and technician, he’s a pioneer in piano tuning education. His students describe him as the game changer who redefines what’s possible in such a traditional craft.
Known for his deep knowledge, infectious enthusiasm, and real-world business wisdom, Robert has developed a unique, results-driven training approach that fast-tracks his students into success.
Many of his graduates go on to become concert piano tuners in record time, like Dale from Bristol, UK, a professional jazz pianist, and now one of the most sought-after tuners in his region, and Miro from Qatar, a member of The Royal National Orchestra of Qatar, who built a prestigious career as a concert tuner, looking after the many Steinway’s in Qatar, and all just weeks after completing his course.
